Hello lovelies 🙂
Today we finally got out to the woods for a walk. Ever since autumn truly arrived I’ve been positively itching to get out as a family to soak up the new season in my favourite place. It was bliss.
Truth be told I thought there would be more colour in the trees but perhaps that is just wishful thinking. The season has only just started after all. In a week or so when we come back here I can’t wait for the explosion of colour that is only being hinted at right now.
There were some signs of autumn though, little mushrooms hidden away and falling leaves from the chestnut trees.
My little lady was ready for her autumn stroll kitted out in bright coloured wellington boots and, of course, a little beanie hat I whipped up for her this week. I know I’m biased but I think she’s adorable 🙂 The hat is almost although not exactly the same pattern as I used on this one, if I get really happy with it I will probably post it up.
It was so good to get out and breathe in the fresh air, listening to nothing but birds in the trees and watching Emma exploring, taking in the sights, being fascinated by the wind in the trees (it was really breezy) and playing in the mud like all little girls should.
A wonderful Friday 🙂 Hoping for an equally lovely weekend even if the Mr is working!
How has your day been? Are you looking forward to the weekend?
You may be biased (I know I am) but all mothers are. Emma is adorable. I wish I could have had your day.
