Happy Monday!!!
We’ve had a lovely week and this bank holiday weekend has been pretty wonderful too! I love having Vince home! I hope your holiday weekends have been great too!
So it’s time for another HHM post, linking up with the lovely Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
The Weather::
It is currently gorgeous blue skies and sunshine overhead and it looks set to stay that way at least until Thursday which works for me! ! Highs of 22C/72F ๐
Right now I am::
Enjoying a late breakfast courtesy of a nice lay in this morning, watching Emma trying feed cornflakes to her teddy bear. (OK it’s been an hour or so since I started this post and we aren’t still eating breakfast!)
Thinking::
About all sorts of things, what jobs need doing today, what I’m going to make for our picnic lunch later, organising a post schedule of a sorts for the blog, where I need to look next in our family tree (I’ve been researching Vincent’s side of the family, specifically the Wade line), what crochet jobs I have lined up….. I have a busy mind this morning!
On my reading pile::
I have finally got stuck into Lark Rise by Flora Thompson!!! It’s great, a really lovely memoir that makes me wish I lived in the Victorian countryside raising pigs and chickens.
I also have a couple of books somewhat inspired by this urge loaned to me by my nan ๐ Oink! My Life With Minipigs by Matt Whyman and This Little Piggy by Jane Croft, apparently my nan has rather a large soft spot for little piggies!
On my TV::
Who Do You Think You Are?
The Doctor Who Prom
Surburgatory

In the craft basket::
It has been a full week since I last picked up a crochet hook. It feels strange and I miss it but it’s somehow been a nice break too lol! I have a little cardigan prototype design I’ve been working on and I just need to finish the sleeves and then I’ll do a reveal on the blog ๐ I also want to crochet some arm caps for our poor, old, worn out sofa.
Looking forward to this week::
Making the most of Vince still being at home all day for another week! We have trips to the country park and the beach lined up with picnics of course! A possible trip to a family bbq and the possibility of some family visiting here. So all being well it should be a ย lovely way to end our summer ๐
Looking around the house::
I have a pile of washing up waiting for me in the kitchen, a pile of clean clothes that need putting away in the dining room, a pile of Emma’s toys taking over the front room, and a pile of laundry that needs hanging out to dry. I’m considering running away. Ha! I sometimes find it incredibly hard to motivate myself to do the housework but I know once I get started it’s fine and I quite enjoy it LOL!
From the camera::
The lovely pig from the farm we camped on last week!
Bible verse, Devotional::
But we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:3&4
Your morning sounds perfect so far! ๐ lol! But like me, lots to do today! I love that photo of the pig! Soo sweet!! ๐
I love the picture!! I think everyone has laundry on their list every week. We have not had chicken curry in a long time. I think we might just have to this week. Have a great week!!
