Happy Monday!!!
Today we are going on holiday so it’s a pretty good Monday in my books! The 3 of us are heading off on a little camping trip this afternoon to the middle of the countryside for 3 nights. We are really looking forward to it!
So onto todays HHM, I’m not sure if I’ll get to link up because of the time difference and when we’re leaving today, but you can still visit the lovely Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
The Weather::
It is currently gorgeous clear blue skies and sunshine and it looks set to keep getting better through the week. Yay! Highs of 22C/72F 🙂
Right now I am::
Writing this post while drinking a cup of tea.
Thinking::
About all the last things that need packing, making sure the garden veggies get a good water in a minute.
On my reading pile::
This week, whilst away from all distractions sat in the middle of a field, I will read Lark Rise by Flora Thompson!!!
On my TV::
Nothing this week.
On the menu for this week::
Monday – Camp food
Tuesday – Camp food
Wednesday – Camp food
Thursday – Possibly still camp food
Friday – No Idea *Grocery day*
Saturday – Out for Dinner
Sunday – ??
On my to do list::
This morning I have 2lbs+ of runner beans from the garden that all need preparing, blanching and freezing before we go away so they will keep.
On Friday I’ll have a mountain of camping laundry and some runner bean chutney to make.
In the craft basket::
I’ll probably take some crochet away with me but I don’t know what it will be yet LOL
Looking forward to this week::
Our camping trip of course! We love being out in nature and going for walks, etc.. so hopefully Emma will enjoy hr first camping experience. I’m looking forward to being away from civilisation, it is a working farm that offers a few camping pitches but it’s very quiet as they don’t take many tents at a time. They also make use of compost toilets and it’s a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest flushing toilet and shower! Talk about back to basics camping!!
Looking around the house::
There are a few dishes from breakfast to be washed up. The clean clothes are mostly sorted ready to be packed away. The front room is tidy with just a few of Emma’s toys hanging around.
From the camera::
Emma in her box den preparing for tent living!
Bible verse, Devotional::
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spiritof wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Ephesians 1:17-19
