Happy Monday!!!
I can’t believe it’s Monday already, last week seemed to whizz by! Have you all had a wonderful weekend? Despite the hubby going back to work yesterday I’ve had a lovely couple of days seeing friends and just being with my little family 🙂
So onto todays HHM, linking up with the lovely Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
The Weather::
I can’y quite believe I’m saying this. It is STILL gorgeously sunny here in the UK and I am sooo loving it. Not because I like to sit around sunning myself (quite the opposite!) but I find it improves everyones mood so much! Today is set to be 26C/79F…. sadly it is only going to drop as far as 20C/68F which means sleeping tonight may be a struggle!
Right now I am::
Writing this post while Vince plays me clips from Comic-Con and Emma points to my face and names eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, etc… (I must cut her nails!)
Thinking::
About what I’m going to make us for lunch today and how I’m going to keep my little Miss entertained this afternoon while Vince is at work.
On my reading pile::
I actually have a book to read! I haven’t started it yet but while browsing in a charity shop Vince spotted Lark Rise by Flora Thompson for 50p! It is the first book of the trilogy that the BBC series Lark Rise to Candleford was based on. I can’t tell you how much I loved that series and yet I had never considered it being based on a book series, silly really. I can’t wait to get started this evening 🙂
On my TV::
We are making an effort to some extent to watch less television. I realised the TV is on so often just to provide background noise which is so unnecessary and distracting. So now we only switch on to watch specific shows and at the moment that amounts to not alot! We watch The White Queen and I will probably watch the new episode of Surburgatory each week but thats it really.
What I found while surfing the net::
A website with some really great inspirational and scripture quote prints available as free downloads… Lara Casey
On the menu for this week::
My menu planning has got so far off track recently I know we’ll be having a pasta bake tonight but then I have no clue!
On my to do list::
Make a menu plan!
Make a shopping list
Do more laundry LOL
Crochet more dish cloths
Sew some paper(less) towels
Sort through Emma’s out grown clothes
In the craft basket::
I am still crocheting more colourful dish cloths in a bid to make our kitchen more frugal/green and paper free. Would also like to sew myself a summer top from some 1940s floral fabric my mum gave me if I find the time!
Looking forward to this week::
Going to visit our new baby niece Sienna!
Looking around the house::
The kitchen is clean and all the breakfast dishes are done, the garden is watered and looking green & healthy, the front room could be worse but I’m not sure it can be any tidier until Emma goes to bed tonight LOL! I do have a pile of laundry that needs sorting and loading into the machine and my fresh flowers have passed their best and need replacing.
From the camera::
Licking the bowl out after making muffins yesterday 🙂
I love that verse!
I really need to go through the girls’ clothes and make a back-to-school list. I just can’t bring myself to do it yet!

Love your devotional for today 🙂
Emma is adorable, love her hair. Almost makes me want another little one, almost lol
Hope you have a great week.
I must admit I am definitely not a fan of heat but the sun does tend to lift everyone’s mood.
Emma is adorable!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m now following your blog. It’s wonderful 🙂
Your daughter is adorable. I am not a fan of the heat. I’m more of a snuggle in the cold type of gal.
I always struggle with menu planning. My intentions are there but for what ever reason it never gets done. Someday!
