Some of you may remember I mentioned a birthday present I was crocheting in this post. Well here it is!
It is a beaded crochet wire bracelet made for my (soon to be) sister-in-law’s 21st birthday last weekend.
This was my first attempt at crocheting with wire and I have to say I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! It was surprisingly easy to do and ever so quick to make up. The whole bracelet took me a little over 2 hours from start to finish and I’m sure a second would be quicker.
When I first decided to attempt something along these lines I had no idea what sort of wire I would need to use, so after perusing various local craft and haberdashery shops I came home with quite a selection of different wires.
The wire I have used here is 24 guage silver plated copper wire. I also used a sterling silver toggle fastening and some pretty little pink glass beads.
I’m thinking about making some to sell but I’m not sure, what do you think?
I love this I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great idea and looks lovely. Xxx your just to clever xxx
Is there a pattern for this? I absolutely LOVE this bracelet!!
Hi Lindsay, The pattern is mostly very simple as I made it up as I went along! I was thinking of doing a photo tutorial during the next week or so if you are interested? xx
Naomi, I would love to see a tutorial for this! I have 3 nieces that would absolutely adore having a bracelet like this. Thank you!
I have crochet nearly all of my life, made jewelry but just now getting into wire working. I made this bracelet with 24 ga Pearl wire with bicone beads. It was easy and I want to thank you for the free tutorial! Definitely could sell some! Go for it! Thanks, again!
