On Tuesday morning I finished my knitted dishcloth!
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this simple little dishcloth. I am inconceivably proud of my first proper piece of knitting!
To mark the occasion my little green cloth and I had a quick photo shoot in the mid morning sunlight ๐
The next step for me is to learn the purl stitch and find a little practice project for that, I want to make sure the single, simple stitches are well learned before jumping ahead.
However last night I found myself wanting my crochet hook back in my hand for something relaxing and not too taxing to think about. I’d been casting around for some Valentines Day home decor inspiration and settled on making some little pretty hearts.
I had a quick search around on the web and found a simple pattern I liked, you can find itย here, if you use it remember it is in US terminology.ย They are really quick to make and before long I had a little pile hooked up with no idea what I was going to use them for.
This afternoon my little lady had an unusually lengthy nap….
….how adorable is she?! (I didn’t make that crochet blanket I think it was my mum, or it might have been my mums aunt?? I’ll have to find out!)
I used the extra free time to hook up a couple more hearts and take some pictures to show you ๐ I have now figured out what I’m going to do with them and I’m itching to get on with it! Can’t wait for you to see! (as long as it looks the way it does in my mind LOL)
I do love some hooky goodness!!!
So happy to find your website…and glad I found your cute patterns! Thanks for sharing! I am so happy you were successful at knitting your first dishcloth ๐ I started to take up knitting last year and I gave it up and went back to crocheting LOL…I am hoping to try my hand at knitting this year, and hopefully become successful and knit “my first proper piece of knitting” as well! I wish you the best in all your crafting endeavors!!!
