Happy Monday everyone!
How are you all? I am finally feeling a bit better, woohoo! After having a cold for what seemed like two months I finally went to the doctors who told me I might have had the flu to start with but in actual fact I have a dust mite allergy! The strangest thing is that having now been told this I’ve had all these memories of being told a similar thing when I was a child. Is it possible to forget you have an allergy lol!?
Anyway on to this weeks HHM 🙂
The Weather ::
We woke up this morning to our first snow of the season! It is really a very very light dusting and Vince says it looks more like icing sugar … but to me snow is snow 🙂 That said I hope it stays like this I’d rather not be snowed in. The temperature seems to be sitting  at around 5ºC/41F today but that wind chill would have you believe otherwise – the downside to living on top of a hill by the sea!
On my reading pile ::
Nothing at the moment unless you count my learning to knit book – same as last week 🙂
On my TV ::
This week I’ll be watching…
Miranda – BBC1
Africa – BBC1 (A really brilliant David Attenborough wildlife documentary)
Once Upon A Time (Season 1 – We’ve only just discovered it – and we love it!)
On the menu this week ::
Monday – Roasted Butternut Squash Risotto
Tuesday – Butternut & Black Bean Egg Rolls
Wednesday – Roast Chicken & Trimmings
Thursday – Meatballs & Pasta
Friday – Chicken Pot Pie
Saturday – Veggie Curry
Sunday – Â Smoky Black Bean Soup
On my to do list this week ::
Laundry.
Dusting every square inch of the house…
Have Emma’s feet measured.
What I am sewing, crocheting or creating ::
I want to move on with my knitting but I’ve been having a break for crochet. I’ve been whipping up some very simple little headbands for Emma to keep her fringe out of her eyes. I’m also playing around with a new square design that’s just not quite right yet.
Looking around the house ::
There are some dishes in the kitchen I really need to go and sort out (what I wouldn’t give for a dishwasher!). Vincent is attempting to get an extremely wriggly Emma dressed while my sister-in-law, who is staying with us this week, watches in amusement! There is a pile of shoes that need sorting and taking upstairs and a few toys hanging around in the front room but elsewhere the house is in fairly good shape…..
…Well that was this morning… now I just have lunch time dishes to clean while Emma is napping, Leona is playing a game and Vincent is at work.

Bible Verse, Devotional ::
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV)
Hi Naomi…. What a lovely blog you have.. by the looks of your weekly menu you msut really love to cook…. everything looks fabulous! Thank for visiting my blog today and have a blessed week!
I haven’t had curry in a while, now I’m craving it.
Sorry about your dust mite allergy, that’s awful.
I love the shows you’re watching, I watch them all as well 🙂
Your little one is precious!! Speaking of little ones, we almost named our youngest daughter “Naomi” – it was between Naomi and Miriam – and Miriam won out. BUT I constantly introduced our new baby as NAOMI for several months after she was born!!!! LOL 🙂 I guess I do love that name.
