Happy Monday everyone!
Is it just me or does this week somehow feel like the first real week of 2013? I mean it seems that everyone has only just finally gone back to school/work/normal routine after the holidays.
We are back to routine and at the moment that means I have picked up another darn cold. It would seem that my immune system went off on holiday at the beginning of December and hasn’t fancied coming back! Sigh… I am feeling altogether run down at the moment.
Onwards and upwards though, so here is a HHM post for you all 🙂
The Weather ::
Today is the first morning in a week or so that I haven’t looked out onto a thick blanket of fog, today it is just very grey with a drizzly rain. Not the most inspiring of weather it has to be said. On a more positive note the cloud cover does keep the temperature milder  – 8°C/46F today.
On my reading pile ::
Nothing at the moment unless you count my learning to knit book.
On my TV ::
This week I’ll be watching…
Not a great deal of anything, there really aren’t any current shows I’m particularly following. Although I did discover last night that I quite like Miranda on BBC1 so I’ll probably watch that. During the day if anything I tend to watch a boxset on our tv service like According To Jim.
On the menu this week ::
Monday – Sausage & Chestnut Pie
Tuesday – Veggie Bean Curry & Quinoa
Wednesday – Meatless Lasagne
Thursday – Stir Fry & Egg Noodles
Friday – Haggis & Sweet Potato Mash
Saturday – Tomato Pasta Bake
Sunday – Â Pork & Pineapple Curry & Rice
On my to do list this week ::
Laundry as ever. Laundry. Laundry. Laundry. *sigh*
Visit the town/council office/library.
(I have literally just copied this from my last HHM post and it truly hasn’t changed. lol.)
What I am sewing, crocheting or creating ::
I am still plodding along with knitting my dish cloth (as mentioned here) and it is very nearly finished! I feel there may also be some heart shaped crochet in my future aswell 🙂
Looking around the house ::
I really need to do a pick up around the front room if only I could find the energy to move off of the sofa. Emma is on the floor making lots of noise playing happily with her toys… so a tidy up would probably be a futile effort at this moment. My wonderful husband is in the kitchen putting away the clean dishes to help me out before he goes to work. I am enjoying my cup of tea, watching Emma play, and waiting for a gas engineer to arrive which could be anytime in the next 8 hours.
 My last photo ::
Sorry you’re sick, hope you get to feeling better soon.
I’m also having stir fry this week lol
Just take it easy today, relax and knit or crochet. 🙂
I adore the pic of your little one!!! she is PRECIOUS!
Take it easy and have a great first full week of 2013.
We all just got over being sick not that long ago. It always comes at the worst time ever, not that there is ever a “good” time to be sick. Hope you get to feeling better.
Your also spot on about it feeling like the real first week of 2013. Things are just now getting back to normal, everyone getting back on their schedules, etc.
