How are you all finding the heat?!
We’ve been struggling in this little corner of the world, especially my little lady. My my, did I have a grumpy baby yesterday!
Today we were prepared for an even hotter day and as predicted we woke to clear blue skies and the sun beating down. As it was still early and we had time before Vince’s shift at work, we decided to go and make the most of being outside for a little while. We got suited and booted and set off down the road to the lovely green area nearby that overlooks the sea.
By the time we got there, which is roughly less than 3 minutes from our door, a huge layer of cloud had rolled in which has made today soooo humid and muggy. (On the up side, Emma is less grumpy and more sleepy!)
We still enjoyed sitting on the grass, feeling the breeze and watching the world go by though, and I got to snap some photos.
Emma is slowly but surely coming round to my big camera and we may finally start getting some good shots of her beautiful smile!
Can you believe she was 8 months old on Friday? I can’t. I mean I literally cannot comprehend where the time has gone.
I also took a recent crochet project along for a little photo shoot. A while back Vince’s mum asked if I could make her some crochet slippers.
I had a look around for some ideas and toyed with creating my own pattern but then I came across this lovely pattern on ravelry and decided to go with it. Mainly because it uses granny squares and who can say no to their traditional simplicity?
That said I think they look quite funky and retro, I did whip myself up a pair first to test it out 🙂
I hope she likes them as she won’t actually get them until next week!
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and are coping with the changeable weather 🙂
