I have become mildly obsessed with instagram (a phone photo-editing app for those who don’t know!). It is so much quicker and easier to snap a picture on a phone these days than to lug the DSLR out all the time (particularly with a baby on one arm)… and instagram… well it’s just fun!
You can follow my instagram feed online here or if you have the app I’m @ourlovelylittlelife.
I realise that last month was a tad light on the posting side of things so I thought I would use my instagram snaps to round it up for you.
(Please prepare for a photo heavy post)
Emma
Naturally, 99% of my time is mummy time spent with Emma. I am 100% happy about this.
Outdoors
July actually showed signs of summer here in the UK, so we ventured out on these days to see blue skies & seas, sunny green parks, and wooded walks with wild flowers.
Day Trips
We enjoyed lovely days out as a family which included train journeys, picnics, and lots of sunshine.
Emma’s Lunches
Although dinners are still purees, at lunchtime we have been playing with finger foods and feeding ourselves. It is great fun and I love finding new foods and textures for her to try, such as baked parmesan courgette sticks and banana scotch pancakes.
Grown Up Food
Vince and I also managed to find time for a few grown-up treats this month. Yum!
Creativity
Finally, in the evenings when I get a few hours down time I get a chance to work on one of many projects I usually have on the go. July saw a button E for Emma’s room, crochet slippers, a refashioned dress for Emma, the start of some patchwork and some good progress on a quiet book.
Phew! It was quite a busy month actually!
I hope you all loved July as much as I did and here’s to a wonderful August!
