A blog I read (Diary of a Stay At Home Mum) has a weekly feature called happy homemaker mondays. I enjoy reading this weekly insight and I think it’s a good way to organise my mind a little each week so I’ve decided to join along!
Especially as it would seem I am to be a happy homemaker now for the foreseeable future ๐
I hope you enjoy a little look in to my week.
The Weather ::
It has turned out quite nice here today. Sunny and warm if a bit breezy, but I’m getting used to the fact that living on top of a hill by the sea means a lot of wind. I hope it stays this way all week but I won’t hold my breath!
On my reading pile ::
I don’t think I have found time to read a book since Emma’s arrival, my Bible not included. However, I will one day get around to reading books 2 & 3 in The Hunger Games series.
On my TV ::
The Olympics!
Smallville – season 9
On the menu this week ::
Monday – Pistachio & Orange Couscous salad
Tuesday – Pan-fried Salmon with carrots, courgette and wild rice
Wednesday – Home-made potato wedges & home-made chicken nuggets with garlic mushrooms and salad
Thursday – Something from the freezer
Friday – Not at home for dinner
Saturday – Shepherds Pie
Sunday – BBQ Shredded Chicken (slow cooker) with rolls & salad
On my to do list this week ::
Catching up with some laundry.
Doing some serious weeding in front & back gardens.
Unpacking our last boxes from the move!
What I am sewing, crocheting or creating ::
Tooo much! Crocheting a rug for Emma’s room and slippers for my mother-in-law ( apologies for being so slow!!). Sewing together Emma’s quiet book but this is nearly finished now. Also started laying out patchwork for a cot quilt and planning to sew up some foot stools.
ย Looking around the house ::
I see a little girl crashed out on the floor surrounded by a ridiculous number of soft toys, blankets, rattles, etc… Thinking I should go and get her dinner going while she naps. Just noticed my flowers have seen better days, might replace those tomorrow.
My last photo ::
