The sunshine has come back to the south east! Happy days! As such, this is just a quick post to share my latest yarn obsession and then Emma and I are off to enjoy some outdoors time.
A couple of months ago I had taken Emma into town to meet her daddy for lunch but he wasn’t quite ready to meet us when we got there. While waiting for him to finish up, Vince said why don’t I go browse in the local yarn shop I love. I need very little encouragement or excuse to do this so off I went.
It had been a little while since I had last visited and they had some new stock in, so while Emma was fussed over by the lovely ladies in the shop I had a lovely touchy, feely time with some new yarns.
As soon as I came upon this one I knew I had to have it. The colours were gorgeous and it felt wonderful, I could have dived right into the shelf! It is quite an expensive yarn so I carefully selected four colours that called to me and sat well together and treated myself.
I knew exactly what I was going to create with this beautiful yarn but I had just started the baby blanket for my nephew. With incredible self-control I put it away until I had finished the blanket.
Yesterday, finally, I got to pick it up again and start my hooky work. I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying working with it already. It is so smooth and soft, absolutely delicious to work up. It is called Grace by Louisa Harding, a mix of 50% silk and 50% merino wool.
Would you like a sneaky peek at what I’m creating with it?
Right we’re off to enjoy the sunshine! Enjoy your day!
